Described as ‘Britain’s birthplace of speed’, Pendine Sands is home to the Vintage Hot rod Association’s annual Hot Rod Races. Only open to VHRA members and their pre-1949 hot rods and customs, a flag drop start sends the hot rods away on a half-mile run up, followed by an electronically timed flying 1/16th of a mile.
